26/9/042 Wins for GRC at Durham on Saturday
A fairly successful foray over the border resulted in wins in Vet Novice 1x (Peter Trenchard) and Vet C 2-. The VC 4+ made the final of their event, but were narrowly beaten.

Lindsay made it to Sunday but lost her semi-final at Women's Henley.
Meanwhile, Al was 2nd in his event at Marlow, in 7:04 !
It was business as usual for Anne and Beth at Nithsdale however, winning Res2 doubles and also mixed fours, with TK and Fergus and coxed by Katrina. First win for Katrina, who also got through a round of J12 Aquajogs. I wonder if she employed her usual tactics?

Glasgow Rowing Club took part in the 2004 Gorbals Fair with a float manned (and wo-manned) by club members demonstrating their skills on indoor rowers. The new sculling boat 'Adelphi' was also proudly on display. (photos soon)

Lindsay finished 4th in her final.
Quad came 5th.

Al made the final of M Op 1x; finished 3rd.
In W Op 1x, Lindsay was the fastest sculler not to qualify.
Her event was won - easily - by the current Olympic champion!

A pretty low-key event.
The highlights undoubtedly came from double-double wins from Beth and Anne, with Daniel also winning over the long course in M Ju18 sculls. (no race pictures - sorry). Some photos:

Glasgow Rowing Club Long Distance Small Boats Head Saturday 27th March 2004
Another good day's racing on the full 5000m Clyde course saw
Ryan Slate (SUBC) and
Lindsay Dick (GRC)
win the overall prizes for fastest men's and women's crews in Division 1.
In Division 2, it was a Glasgow University double (well, two) as
Johnny and Chris Logan took the men's prize, while
Alex Lomas and Holly Kirwan were first women home.
Glasgow Rowing Club extends its sincere thanks to all umpires, competitors and helpers.
