GRC Fours Head 2017 – FINAL DRAW and Race Info

25th November 2017

5km Downstream on the River Clyde (*reduced to 4km due to fast river flow).
Race Draw and Pre-race Information is now available

Please note:

  • Inexperienced and slower crews should allow approx. 45-60mins to row up to the start of the race. Experienced and faster crews will require at least 35-40mins.
  • Division 1 will start at precisely 11:30. Division 2 will start at precisely 14:00. No exceptions will be made, any crew not in position at the start time will not be allowed to race. Please allow plenty of time to get to the start – recommended boating times are in the competitor information packs.
  • There will be a time gate in operation at the Dalmarnock Bridge (4km bridge) – no crews will be allowed to continue upstream of this point later than 15 minutes before each division start time, those caught out will be told to return to the boathouses. This will allow the races to start on time and prevent those waiting at the start getting too cold.
  • The weather forecast for Saturday is good, but cold…please make sure all crew members are dressed appropriately.
  • I would like to encourage all travelling clubs to boat from GRC, there is a St Andrews Day march taking place in the green so there will be limited access at some points during the day.
  • Race control will be open for race registration and number collection from 8.30am in the GRC boathouse, along with the tea room serving hot and cold food and drinks.
  • Please read the Competitor Infomation 2017 pack as it contains all information required for the day. If you have any questions, please ask a member of the regatta organising committee who will be in attendance all day.
