gym equipped with
rowing machines,
weights and other
exercise equipment.
Glasgow
Rowing Club is one
of the largest and most active rowing
clubs in Scotland.

The
club has a new boathouse and a wide range of boats ranging from
trainers, single sculls, doubles, fours and eights.

AIMS:
- To promote active rowing and to encourage
and aid the
attainment of a high competitive standard among members of the club.
- To encourage rowing for purely recreational purposes.
- To
foster and encourage youth rowing.
- To promote the sport of rowing within the city of Glasgow.
- To encourage from a health point of view to appreciate that becoming
healthy can be fun.
- To educate people within the sport and also in the community about
the safety aspects of the river and how to be able to use it safely.

- To learn all aspects of teamwork and appreciation of individual's
strengths and weaknesses and also to help bring people together and
enjoy the social aspects of the sport.
- To do all other such things as are incidental or conducive to the
attainment of the above objects, having no regard to ethnic, religious
or political difference.
- Finally - and most importantly - the aim for everyone is to enjoy
themselves - very simple but extremely important!
