2006 Lucerne World Cup on TV

  • Both BBC and  Eurosport are covering the 'A' finals, see below. The BBC programme tends to be recorded highlights of the 'A' finals, interspersed with a lot of background info and interviews.
  • NB - it is Eurosport 2 that will be showing the live racing this time - not the Eurosport main channel.
  • Additionally, there is an on-line streaming feed available from the FISA World Rowing web site. At previous regattas, this provided live audio from each day's racing, and a live video feed on the finals day -  the same footage broadcast live by Eurosport. This is probably not much use if you're on dial-up, but great if you have broadband.
    • (Live audio is accessed by clicking on the 'play' button which is at the bottom of all the results screens, like this.)
  • It is unlikely that either broadcaster will show the preliminary heats and minor finals, and the streaming video is scheduled only for the 'A' finals.

Highlights of the final World Cup regatta of the season in Lucerne, where Great Britain will be looking for another strong showing at a venue where they won seven medals in 2005. Chief among the medallists were the men's coxless four, who secured the overall World Cup title in Lucerne with a victory over the Dutch crew. They will be looking for another good display as they build towards the World Championships at Eton in August. Commentary from Garry Herbert, Dan Topoloski and Gillian Lindsay.
